Vol. 217 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Applications.

97.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a telephone will be installed for an applicant (name and address supplied) while telephones are being installed for other applicants in his area, thus saving the considerable extra expense of having to return and put in a single telephone.

The answer is yes.

That is good.

98.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why a telephone line has not been installed for an applicant (name and address supplied) who has been waiting for a very considerable time.

The application was deferred because of pressure of urgent work necessary in the interest of subscribers generally. It is, however, included in a clearance of applications which was recently arranged for the area and which will be completed within the next few months.
