By virtue of section 12 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1930, the Electricity Supply Board are exempted from liability to pay rates to Dublin Corporation on premises used exclusively as generating stations, unless they are acquired undertakings. The Board are liable for rates at a fixed valuation on the Pigeon House generating station, which is an acquired undertaking, under section 11 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1930, as amended by section 4 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1942.
The introduction of new legislation in the matter is not contemplated.
