The Commission of Inquiry on Mental Illness has not yet reported to me and, consequently, it would be impossible for me to say when I will be in a position to give my decision on the recommendations of that Commission. The Commission of Inquiry on Mental Handicap reported to my predecessor on 30th March of this year, and as I indicated to the House yesterday, I shall announce my decisions on the recommendations, without delay, as soon as the observations of the voluntary bodies concerned, and those of the interested Departments, have been received and considered.
