asked the Minister for Social Welfare what is the present amount lying to the credit of the National Health Insurance Fund.

The National Health Insurance Fund ceased to exist as from 5th January, 1953 on which date, together with the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Fund and the Unemployment Fund, it was merged in the Social Insurance Fund established by the Social Welfare Act, 1952.

Is this kept as a separate fund now?

No, it is all the one fund now. The Social Insurance Fund is a separate fund.
