The area of oats in the State in 1954 was 533,148 acres. The corresponding figure in 1965 was 284,392 acres.
In view of the fact that the acreage has also fallen by over 300,000, can the Government or the Taoiseach inform us if they have any policy for oats growing or for tillage at present, or have they forgotten their promises?
