I assume that the information sought relates to Limerick city only.
The total amount remitted to my Department in respect of fines-on-the-spot collected in Limerick City for the year 1966 was £4,233. In addition, fines totalling £246 were imposed by the courts for parking offences.
Fines totalling £617 were imposed for speeding offences in 1966.
I am not in a position to say whether all the fines imposed by the courts in the period have been paid.
