The proposals submitted by the mental hospital authority for improved accommodation for the industrial and occupational therapy unit at St. Brigid's Hospital, Ardee, have been under consideration in my Department in conjunction with an investigation of standards to be adopted for such units generally. While this investigation is not yet complete I have now sufficient information to enable me to approve the proposals for the unit at Ardee, and the hospital authority will be informed accordingly.
