The provision of grants for the purchase of outboard motors by commercial fishermen is a matter for consideration by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara. I understand that the Board decided in 1967 after a full investigation of the position that such grants were no longer justified.
Will the Minister state why that decision was taken?
