The Dublin Traffic and Parking Temporary Rules, 1967, which were made by the Garda Commissioner with my consent, and which came into effect on 5th December, 1967, contain the permission to which the Deputy refers. Representatives of taxi operators in Dublin were informed at the time by the Garda authorities of the provisions of these Rules and I understand that the Garda are satisfied that all taxi operators in the Dublin area are aware of the concession.
