The Survey Team on the Horse Breeding Industry in its report made a series of recommendations which involved a number of Government Departments as well as voluntary organisations interested in different aspects of the horse breeding industry. Some of the Team's recommendations have already been implemented. A major one related to the establishment of a Horse Board, the provision of a National Training Centre and statutory control of riding establishments. This recommendation is under active consideration; the various organisations concerned have been consulted and a further meeting with them is to be held shortly.
