Return to Writ: East Limerick. - Introduction of New Member.

The Clerk of the Dáil made the following announcement:
I gcomhlíonadh Bhuan-Ordú 138 de Bhuan-Orduithe Dháil Éireann i dtaobh Gnó Phoiblí, tá orm a chraoladh gur toghadh Deasún Ó Máille don Dáil sa Chorrthoghchán a bhí ann an 22 Bealtaine, 1968, do Dháilcheantar Luimnigh Thoir de chionn an Teachta Donnchadh Ó Máille d'fháil bháis.
In compliance with Standing Order 138 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that Desmond O'Malley has been elected to the Dáil at the By-Election held on 22nd May, 1968, for the Constituency of East Limerick consequent on the death of Deputy Donogh O'Malley.
Deputy Desmond O'Malley, the new Member for the Constituency of East Limerick, was introduced to the Ceann Comhairle by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Carty).

Lipper is the word and Lipper is the man.

We will see him soon enough.

An expenditure of £100,000 of Taca money.

Another moral victory.

The conservative Parties put him in. Lipper is the man.

You insulted the returning officer. You are a so-called Minister. Why did they not put you on television? "Jack won six medals: vote for him."

And six by-elections.

(interruptions.)
