asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the urgent need for modern facilities for trawler fishermen at the Coal Quay, Dún Laoghaire, he will consider (a) the installation of (i) navigation lights to operate during the hours of darkness, (ii) power plugs to facilitate trawler repairs, (iii) the provision of a water hydrant and (iv) the erection of an oil storage tank and (b) the re-surfacing of the Coal Quay.

A request by the trawler fishermen at Dún Laoghaire for improved facilities is under consideration in consultation with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. It is hoped soon to arrange a meeting on the site with representatives of the fishermen to discuss the matter.
