asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his attention has been drawn to a report that children had been strangled by cords in the hoods of their anoraks; and that this danger might be avoided by the substitution of a light tape for the cord in certain types of anoraks; if he will have the position examined in this country with a view to ensuring that this danger is avoided; and if he will, if necessary, refer the matter to the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards for examination and report.
