At the 30th September, 1968, the latest date for which figures are available, orphans' pensions were in payment in respect of 528 orphans.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare how many orphans at present in receipt of orphans' pensions will attain the age of 16 years (a) within the next 12 months and (b) within the next two years.
Orphan's pensions are at present in payment in respect of (a) 117 orphans who will attain the age of 16 years within the next 12 months, and (b) 225 orphans, including those at (a) above, who will attain the age of 16 years within the next two years.
