asked the Minister for Local Government the amount of money spent on special employment schemes in County Sligo for each year from 1965 onwards; and the amount of money spent there on local improvements schemes from 1966 onwards including the current financial year.

The expenditure under the rural improvement scheme includes small local contributions.
The amount allocated to County Sligo under the local improvement scheme in 1968-69, the year in which the scheme was started, is £15,000. The expenditure to date is approximately £1,000.
