Vol. 238 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Mulcaire and Groody Drainage.

46.

Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Finance the present position of the Mulcaire and Groody drainage schemes; and the likely starting dates of these schemes which are urgent in view of the serious flooding in the locality.

47.

asked the Minister for Finance when work is likely to commence on the drainage of the Mulcaire and Groody rivers, County Limerick.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions 46 and 47 together.

The Mulcaire catchment has been surveyed and a drainage scheme is being designed but I cannot yet say when works may commence. The Groody has been noted for treatment under the Act but because of the requirements of schemes of higher priority in the drainage programme it is not possible to say when it may be reached.

What number on the priorty list?

I have not got it.

Are we still on No. 45?

Nos. 46 and 47 are the Questions I am answering.
