There is a number of post-primary schools already in existence in the Walkinstown neighbourhood and a considerable amount of additional accommodation is being provided by way of new school buildings and extensions.
Some difficulties have been experienced by the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee in acquiring a site for a proposed boys' vocational school in Walkinstown but these have now been resolved and planning of that school is proceeding.
