The commission's interim recommendations were implemented in March, 1965.
The other recommendations have been the subject of discussions between CIE and the trade unions. Arising out of these discussions CIE submitted proposals which had been agreed with the trade unions for amendment of the current wages grades pension schemes. I propose to confirm the proposed amendments as soon as the necessary statutory instruments are prepared.
