Vol. 239 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Lands.

99.

asked the Minister for Lands what steps have been taken regarding the acquisition and division of the Goer Estate, Garrykennedy, Portroe, Nenagh, County Tipperary.

Proceedings are in progress for compulsory acquisition of this 188-acre property and an objection lodged on behalf of the owner is pending for determination. The disposal of this objection is in abeyance pending the outcome of certain negotiations between the Land Commission and the owner. For the present, these negotiations must be treated as confidential.

100.

asked the Minister for Lands when the division of the Moran Estate, Pass, Clonmel, County Tipperary, will take place.

Possession of an area of 88 acres on this estate passed to the Land Commission last January. Resale proposals have been formulated for this area and 50 acres previously acquired on the estate—and it is expected that allocation will take place this spring.
