The relevant statute provides that, with the exception of an officer of my Department, all of the members of An Bord Bainne must represent interests engaged either in the production of creamery milk or in the manufacture of milk products. The nomination of the person referred to in the question to be a member of the Board was in strict accordance with the provisions of the statute.
