I see no reason for altering the normal practice whereby statements of a policy nature by members of the Government are made on such occasions as are considered to be best suited to the circumstances and the public interest.
Does the Taoiseach not think it time to give this House an opportunity of discussing the one-man statements made by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, Deputy Blaney, over recent months on the partition of the country? If there are divisions within his Party does he not think——
That does not seem to arise.
——that this House should be given an opportunity of discussing this whole matter?
It is Fianna Fáil policy for over 40 years.
I did not realise that the matter of policy to which the Deputy referred in his question was Partition, but I should like to assure him that there are no divisions within our Party on Partition.
