Vol. 239 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Estates.

34.

Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Lands the present position regarding the Devane Estate, Monglune, Murroe, County Limerick; and when it will be divided.

Possession of this 111-acre holding came to the Land Commission three weeks ago. Pending completion of the necessary inquiries on the ground it is not possible to forecast when a scheme of division may be prepared.

35.

Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Lands if there have been any developments regarding the proposal to take over Kilfrush Estate, Knocklong, County Limerick.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a previous Question about this property on 12th of last month. An objection lodged on behalf of the owners came for hearing before the Commissioners on 26th ultimo and was disallowed—subject to an Order to that effect being made when the question of some adjustment in the area being acquired has been settled. The matter of price now falls to be settled.

36.

Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission propose to acquire the Crotty and Horan Estates, Oola, County Limerick, in view of the serious congestion in the area.

There are no proceedings for the acquisition of these properties but arrangements are being made to have inspections carried out and the relevant notice under the Land Act, 1965, has been served on the owners.
