asked the Minister for Local Government the amount of fee or salary paid to each member of the National Building Agency.

The managing director's salary is £3,107 per annum. The chairman of the board receives a fee of £450 per annum and a fee of £325 per annum is paid to each of the other directors, excepting the managing director.

26.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of engineers, architects and other professional people who have qualifications related to the building industry on the board of the National Building Agency; and the nature of such qualifications.

One member of the board is chief engineering adviser of my Department. He is a B.E., B.Sc.

27.

asked the Minister for Local Government the qualifications of the present managing director of the National Building Agency.

The managing director is a seconded senior civil servant with long service and wide administrative experience, including experience relating to housing construction and administration.
