asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Halliday estate, Ballymacward, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Kilgannon estate, Hampstead, Ballymacward, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Madden estate, Carana, Woodlawn, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 83, 84 and 85 together.

Possession of these three holdings, containing 84 acres, 90 acres and 24 acres respectively, has passed to the Land Commission. Pending completion of the necessary inquiries on the ground it is not feasible to forecast just now when schemes of division may be planned.

I did not hear the Minister say how long these estates have been in the possession of the Land Commission. Can he tell me?

The Halliday estate since November last year; the Kilgannon estate from 1966; and the Madden estate since 1968.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Raftery estate, Monaveen, Woodlawn, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

The Land Commission have purchased an area of 106 acres on this estate and a scheme of division will be formulated as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Burns estate, Moyarwood, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Crehan estate, Liscuib, Ballymacward, County Galway.

Proceedings for compulsory acquisition of both of these properties, containing 20 acres and 48 acres respectively, are in the final stages; price was agreed recently and possession will be arranged as soon as possible.

andMrs. Hogan O'Higgins asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Burke estate, Toonbaun, Clostoken, Loughrea, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have any plans for the acquisition of the Daly estate, Cloonagh, Dunmore, County Galway.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 89 and 90 together.

There are no proceedings for the acquisition of either of these holdings but certain inquiries are being made at present.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Courtney estate, Timiduane, Clonberne, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Proceedings are in progress for compulsory acquisition of this 49-acre holding—and an objection lodged on behalf of the owner is pending for determination.

92.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have any plans for the division of the Reilly estate, Russeltown, Milltown, County Galway.

Work on the formulation of a scheme for the division of this small holding—22 acres—is proceeding as rapidly as possible.
