Vol. 240 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

22.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he hopes to approve the sewerage scheme for Coolaney village, County Sligo.

On the latest information available to me the local authority do not regard this scheme as having a high priority in their water and sewerage programme. In the circumstances I cannot state when it will be approved.

23.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he received a proposal for a new water scheme at Ballintogher, County Sligo; if so, on what date; and if he has yet made a decision.

Contract documents for this scheme were submitted to my Department on 13th April, 1967. As I understand that the local authority do not regard the scheme as having a high priority in their water and sewerage programme, a decision on the proposal has not been issued.

24.

asked the Minister for Local Government the position regarding the Ballinderry and Ardskeagh-beg group water scheme, County Galway.

No proposal has been received by me for a group water scheme for this area. A preliminary proposal for the nearby Ballinphuill district is, however, being investigated, and samples of water from two possible sources are being tested.
