I am aware of seven proposals for the establishment of new industries or the extension of existing industries in County Sligo. Since industrial proposals must be treated as confidential I cannot give any further details.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of (a) males and (b) females employed at the latest available date in each industry in County Sligo that benefited from industrial grants.
Industries in County Sligo which have received new industry or small industry grants currently afford employment to an estimated 848 persons of whom 443 are male and 405 female. It is not the practice to disclose the number employed by any individual firm.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce why particulars are not available for publication of the sums of £441,700 approved and £53,907 paid in respect of industrial undertakings in County Sligo in the year ended 31st March, 1969.
The details of the sums of £441,700 approved and £53,907 paid by An Foras Tionscal in respect of industrial undertakings in County Sligo during the year ended 31st March, 1969, will appear in the annual report of An Foras Tionscal for that year. It is not the practice to furnish details of cases that will be included in the report of An Foras Tionscal, prior to its presentation to the Dáil.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has approved a grant for an industry in Ballinamore, County Leitrim; and, if so, if he will give particulars.
I understand that An Foras Tionscal have approved grants under the Small Industries Scheme for two projects at Ballinamore, County Leitrim.
It is not the practice, prior to the presentation of the report of An Foras Tionscal to An Dáil, to furnish particulars relating to projects assisted by grants.
