asked the Minister for Local Government the number of dwellings Dublin Corporation propose to erect in the present year for (1) families on the waiting list, (2) tenants of purchase dwellings and (3) elderly persons.

The housing programme of Dublin Corporation visualises the completion of a total of 3,000 dwellings during the year ending 31st March, 1970, which will comprise—

1,803 tenancy-type houses and family-sized flats.

825 purchase-type houses.

372 one-roomed flats.

Of the one-roomed flats, 178 are in schemes designed specifically for old persons.

asked the Minister for Local Government if the Dublin Corporation propose to make available any sites to families wishing to build their own homes.

The current purchase house/private sites programme of the Dublin Corporation provides for 11,669 dwellings and sites, which will be made available to (a) tenants of corporation dwellings (b) applicants on the approved waiting list and (c) other persons desirous of providing their own homes.
