At 31st March, 1969, the aggregate amount of grants approved by An Foras Tionscal was £73.6 millions out of which a total amount of £35.9 millions had been paid at that date. An Foras Tionscal, therefore, had outstanding commitments amounting to £37.7 millions in respect of grants for industry at 31st March, 1969. The figures must be regarded as provisional pending the annual audit of the accounts of the Board. The figures include grants approved in principle for re-equipment and modernisation pending the enactment of the legislation in respect of such grants.
