Vol. 240 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Sheep Dipping Facilities.

14.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries whether he is aware that the sheep dipping tanks in Gleninchiquin and Glenmore in the parish of Tuosist, County Kerry, are in a very bad state of repair; whether there are any proposals to improve them; and the present position regarding the proposed new dipping tank for Glenmore.

I am informed that the holding pens at the dipping baths referred to are defective and that, Kerry Co. Council are arranging to have them repaired before the commencement of the first compulsory dipping period on the 1st June. As the concrete tanks at both centres are in good condition the council has indicated that it has no plans for the provision of a new dipping bath at Glenmore.
