Vol. 240 No. 9

Dáil Order Paper and Clocks.

May I inquire how it was that very many Deputies got no Order Paper this morning?

I did not get any.

Very many of us did not get any. There is the man responsible. He is the man. He is the only man we are entitled to attack in the House—Deputy Erskine Childers, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs. Why did he not get up on his bicycle and deliver them? Seriously though, they did not come.

I had not heard a complaint but the matter will be investigated.

It was not Deputy Sweetman alone. I did not get any.

I did not get one either.

Perhaps, we could get some extra ones circulated?

Everything is kind of finishing.

Perhaps, they thought the Taoiseach would dissolve last night and it would not be necessary to circulate them.

Is there any significance in the fact that we have run out of Order Papers and that the clocks in the House have stopped?

Time has run out.

Surely that ought to be a clear indication for the Taoiseach that time is up?

There is a lot of work to do yet.

We are looking into the question of the clocks.

They are papering over the cracks in the meantime.

The clocks are so embarrassed by Fianna Fáil policy that they have hidden their faces.

They will have to tune them up to keep up with us.

You are not going very fast lately.
