Vol. 240 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal School Water Supply.

61.

asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to the present unsatisfactory condition of the water services supplying the Catholic school in Newtown-cunningham, County Donegal; and if he will have the matter fully investigated without further delay.

I am not aware that the water services supplying this school are unsatisfactory.

The Commissioners of Public Works have investigated the matter and have found that the water supply for the school sewerage system which is taken from a nearby stream is adequate for this purpose. The keeping of the school sewerage system in proper working order is a local responsibility.

The remaining questions will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
