On the latest information available to me the local authority do not regard this scheme as having a high priority in their water and sewerage programme.
The people of Ballyhaunis have allotted money for this purpose and have started the scheme some months ago. They are now anxious that the Minister should give sanction for this particular £10,000. Could the Minister state if Mayo County Council have sanctioned it or have they put it on the priority list? Would the Minister give sanction for the scheme at an early date?
This scheme was accorded 21st place on the council's priority list. It is now in 19th place on that list because two of those which preceded it have now been released.
