Intern posts at Limerick Regional Hospital are not reserved for graduates of University College, Cork. This hospital is a teaching hospital of the medical school of University College, Cork and, as is to be expected, a majority of the applicants for the intern posts and of the persons appointed to these posts are graduates of this college. A number of graduates of other colleges have also obtained intern posts at the hospital.
