Applicants for the diploma course in health inspection are required to be of leaving certificate standard, and the latest date for receipt of applications for the course was postponed from 5th September to 10th September, 1969, when it became known that the results of this year's leaving certificate examination would not be available until the end of August. The postponement was considered desirable to give prospective candidates time to assess their results and to include the necessary details in their application forms.
