Total indebtedness of local authorities (excluding harbour authorities, vocational education committees and committees of agriculture) at the end of the financial years 1965-66, and 1966-67 is set out in the Returns of Local Taxation for those years. Information regarding the position at 31st March, 1968, was given in reply to Question No. 171 of 4th February last. Total indebtedness at 31st March, 1969, is estimated at £251.22 million.
