Preliminary sketch plans for the proposed new post-primary school at Kilcormac were discussed by the committee's architect with one of my Department's senior architects in September last and were approved in principle subject to certain modifications. Revised sketch plans incorporating the suggested modifications and an estimate of the cost of the scheme which were recently received are now being examined.
It is not possible to say at this stage when building work is likely to commence.
