Vol. 243 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Greek Government.

43.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether the latest findings by the Commission on Human Rights will alter his viewpoint on the necessity of moving the expulsion of Greece from the Council of Europe.

For the reasons stated in my replies to questions in the Dáil on the 27th November, I do not propose to indicate in advance of the meeting of the Committee of Ministers on the 12th December what the attitude of the Government is going to be towards the question of the suspension of Greece from the Council of Europe.

Would the Minister indicate what process he intends to undergo before he makes up his mind?

The Deputy might gather that my mind is made up but I do not intend to publish it before going to the meeting.

Would the Minister say if this is a Government decision?
