The appraisal of the public capital programme is well advanced and should be completed during the coming year. As I intimated in reply to a previous question on 17th July last, a decision regarding the extent and form of publication of the results will be taken when the various reports on the individual expenditures in the programme are available.
Separate reports are being prepared on each expenditure in the programme and cost/benefit analysis and similar techniques are being employed as far as practicable.
