Separate data on imports and exports in Irish registered ships are not available. The only relevant information available relates to the number and net registered tonnage of ships which arrived at Irish ports. A total of 13,344 vessels arrived at Irish ports in the foreign trade during the year 1968 and of these 1,810 (13.6 per cent) were Irish registered. The total net registered tonnage of these ships was 13.87 million net tons of which 1.59 million (11.5 per cent) related to Irish registered vessels.
