Vol. 243 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions, Oral Answers. - County Kerry Telephone Service.

104.

Mr. Lynch

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a 24-hour telephone service in Knocknagoshel, County Kerry.

The introduction of a 24-hour telephone service at Knocknagoshel exchange is not warranted at present. A number of subscribers have continuous service by means of switching to a continuous service exchange when Knocknagoshel is closed and several more can be similarly accommodated.

Stone age service—and the Minister has the audacity to defend it.

I am not with the Deputy.

I know the Minister is not with it.

(Cavan): The Minister is not with it—full stop.

It can be described as "Sorry, wrong number".

Question No. 105. Will Deputies please allow the Minister to reply?
