Vol. 247 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Intelligence Operations.

1.

asked the Taoiseach if he is aware of the presence of military or police intelligence from any country in this country.

In the interests of our security services, I do not propose to answer this question.

Arising out of the Taoiseach's reply and related to this question, in view of the tremendous national speculation could he inform us what is now transpiring within his own party in relation to Government affairs?

It has nothing whatever to do with any party.

May I put it to the Taoiseach that it is quite undesirable in the national interest that there should be continuous speculation until his party resume their meeting tomorrow afternoon.

That has nothing to do with the question.
