Vol. 247 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gardaí at Dublin Premises.

45.

asked the Minister for Justice what representations were made to/or what information was received by the Garda authorities which led them to place a large number of uniformed officers in the vicinity of Hume Street and St. Stephen's Green, Dublin, at approximately 4.30 a.m. on Sunday, 7th June.

It is not the practice to disclose the sources of information on which the Garda Síochána act but, if what the Deputy wishes to know is whether the Garda Síochána had advance information as to the action to be taken on behalf of the owners of the property in question, the answer is that they had no such information and did not hear of the action for some time after it had begun.
