Vol. 248 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Special Allowance Application.

34.

asked the Minister for Defence if the application made by a man (name supplied) who has an IRA medal, has yet been decided by his Department.

It has not been found possible to trace any application for a special allowance or other benefit from the person to whom the Deputy's question refers, nor is he on record as the holder of a Service (1917-1921) Medal. If the Deputy can give me any additional information about the case, I shall have further inquiries made and let him know the result.

The question seems to have got a bit mixed up. Maybe it is my writing but the question on the Order Paper is not the question handed in by me. It may be my fault. I will repeat the question next week.
