asked the Minister for Defence whether any member of the Irish Army supervised the dumping of what was considered to be obsolete ammunition by the British Navy.

Arrangements were made with the British Ministry of Defence for the dumping at sea of unserviceable and obsolete ammunition held in Army stores. The dumping was not supervised by any member of the Defence Forces beyond the loading of the ammunition on to the Ministry of Defence vessel.
