As I informed the Deputy in my reply to his previous question on this subject on 27th May, the Dublin Health Authority requested the Local Appointments Commissioners to make a fresh recommendation of a person for appointment to this office.
No recommendation has yet been made by the commissioners.
I am sure the Minister appreciates that there is great need for an appointment of this kind to be made in the city of Dublin. Can he take any steps to expedite the appointment?
I am doing my best to expedite it.
Has the Minister any idea when he would be likely to make the appointment?
I could not say.
