Vol. 249 No. 7

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 12 and 13.

In the case of those living in sub-standard houses and sub-standard accommodation——

Would the Deputy please resume his seat and allow the business of the House to continue?

I am entitled——

The Deputy is not entitled to put questions after four o'clock.

I am entitled to ask one supplementary question on Question No. 46 which has not yet concluded.

Will the Deputy please resume his seat? He is long enough here to know the rules of the House.

(Interruptions.)

The Minister is side-stepping his responsibilities.

The Minister is not.

The Deputy should resume his seat. If he does not do so I shall have to ask him to leave the House. The Deputy is being disorderly.

We appreciate as much as the Ceann Comhairle that there are many questions to be answered but there were no supplementary questions on the last 13 or 14 questions. These members of the Labour Party who want to ask supplementary questions now have a genuine interest in this matter and I think Deputy Coughlan should be allowed to ask at least one supplementary question.

The Chair does not agree and would point out that in 60 minutes we dealt with 46 questions.

No, we dealt with 45½.

The Deputy is being disorderly. I shall not hear him any further. His colleague was allowed three supplementary questions.

I did not get satisfactory answers.

That is not a matter for the Chair.

I desire, with your permission, to give notice of my intention to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of question No. 39 which I addressed to the Minister for Industry and Commerce on Thursday, 5th November, concerning the importation of footwear.

The Chair will communicate with the Deputy. No. 12—Prices and Incomes (Temporary Provisions) Bill, 1970.

Is it not the Finance Bill?

No, it is No. 12.

When was it changed? We were notified that it would be the Finance Bill.

The business is No. 12 followed by No. 13, which is the Finance Bill.
