Vol. 249 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clare School.

17.

asked the Minister for Education what the present position is regarding Ruan national school, County Clare.

I refer the Deputy to my reply to the question asked by him on the 17th December, 1969.

When the school manager, or his solicitor, furnishes satisfactory evidence of title to the site for the proposed new central school at Ruan, and when agreement is reached with him as to the local contribution, my Department will sanction a grant towards the cost of erecting the new building.

The manager has been authorised to place a contract for works at the existing Ruan school, including the provision of water-flushed sanitation, to render the premises serviceable until such time as the new school is erected.
