Mr. Desmond

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of Nítrigin Éiireann Teo., Irish Steel Holdings Ltd. and Ceimicí Teo. (a) capital employed, (b) profit or loss before taxation, (c) total wages and salaries paid, (d) number of employees and (e) value of exports, for each of the last two years for which the information is available.

As the information requested by the Deputy is in the form of tabular statements, I propose with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have statements circulated with the Official Report. The details given in each case are for the latest year for which the company's accounts have been published.

I might mention that the annual reports and financial accounts for these companies which are laid before the Dáil give comparative particulars for the year reported on and previous years.
