asked the Minister for Local Government what precautions are taken to prevent overcrowding of dance halls and dance clubs.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dance Hall Overcrowding.
207.
Provisions for the licensing, control and supervision of places used for public dancing are contained in the Public Dance Halls Act, 1935. I understand that, under this Act, restrictions relating to the limitation of numbers are generally inserted in public dancing licenes. In the case of private clubs, sanitary authorities have power to exercise control in relation to any fire danger arising from overcrowding.
