Vol. 250 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Social Welfare Benefits.

41.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of money paid in unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance, and disability benefit in every county in the State.

The county has no special significance in relation to social welfare payments and, accordingly, statistics on that basis are not available for expenditure on unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance or disability benefit.

If the Deputy so wishes, however, I will send him as soon as possible an approximation of the expenditure for a recent year related to county areas so far as my Department's records enable this to be done.
